Education
I currently attend Grand Valley State University, where I double major in English Language and Literature and Writing. Throughout my time at Grand Valley, I have learned so much about myself as a writer. I love looking back at early pieces of writing and comparing them to my writing now to see how much I have grown. I've learned how to write in different styles while making my voice shine through.

When I came to Grand Valley, I was a biomedical sciences major on a pre-PA track. After my first year in the major, I knew my heart was not in it. I wanted to have a career that I was passionate about. That is when I realized my heart was with English and Writing. I have been an avid reader and writer my entire life, and you will never catch me without a book. It came as no surprise that this would be the field that I would thrive in.
In my Editing and Publishing class, I worked with three other classmates to create a developmental editing plan for an author's manuscript. This author is hoping to get her essay collection published soon, and jumped on this opportunity to get more feedback on her work. It was also an opportunity for us to gain experience editing a manuscript and writing up a developmental editing plan.
Achievements
I have made the Dean's List for the past two years, which is exactly when I changed my major to English. Below are just two of my letters from the Dean.
